Abstract
Globalization can be understood as a kind of international system in the making. It is "not simply a trend or a fad but is, rather, an international system ... that has now replaced the old Cold War system, and ... has its own rules and logic that today directly or indirectly influence the politics, environment, geopolitics and economics of virtually every country in the world." Global institutions cannot be built and major actors in globalization cannot fulfill their responsibilities without universal ethical standards and a common ethical ground. Fortunately, in recent years, we have witnessed many important initiatives and numerous publications which struggle with the ethics of globalization
