Abstract
「我们关注歧视问题，是因为我们天生不平等。但是，在语言禁忌、学术禁忌的背后，会不会出现新的歧视行为呢？假如因为避免歧视而拒绝有关讨论，假如因为害怕歧视而制定针对另外群体的反对性骚扰的法律，那么，会不会在改变强弱力量对比的同时，制造新的不平等或者歧视呢？」(P.1) 「人类历史就是在动态的不平衡中向前发展。我们如果刻意追求静态的平衡或者平等，其结果可能会阻碍历史发展的进程。我们固然要吸取人类文明发展的历史教训，小心地触摸甚至完全禁止触摸某些禁忌，但我们也需要扪心自问，这些禁忌的历史渊源何在，他们将会对人类文明未来的发展产生怎样深刻的影响。我们应该成为现实主义者，但是为了我们人类的理想，我们有必要理性地思考文明社会中各种禁忌的命运和前途。从某种意义上来说，思考因为歧视而产生的禁忌，是为了更好地避免类似的伤痛。」(P.1-2) 摘自原文：乔新生 性别歧视的历史与现实坐标 ‘We are concerned about issues of discrimination since we are innately unequal. However, will another kind of discriminative behavior emerge behind language taboo and academic taboo? If related discussion is rejected so as to avoid discrimination, or sexual harassment law against another group of people was established being afraid to commit discrimination, then, will a new kind of inequality or discrimination be created while adjusting the contrast between incomparable powers?’ (P.1) ‘Human history has been proceeding through a dynamic imbalance. If we intentionally pursue for a static balance or equality, hindrance of historical development might be the result. Certainly we have to learn the lessons given by the development of civilization of human and to be cautious when touching or even have strict prohibition on touching certain taboos, but we should also ask ourselves with our conscience about the historic origin of the taboos and how they will be deeply influential to the future development of human civilization. We should become realist, but for the ideal of us, human, it is necessary for us to have rational thinking on the fate and prospect of the various taboos in civil society.
