Abstract
Amidst the people who advocated religious unification for the integration of world society into a global religion and the people who promoted an inter-religious unity to move near such an utopia, Swami Vivekananda introduced the concept of Isha religion which is a spiritual revolution that propagated individual religions. In other words, the anti-congregational concept of religion reflects Swami Vivekananda's basic idea of modern human beings' inner world. This paper explores the nature of such a concept of modern religion in the light of historical and social context of that time.
