Abstract
"THIS is the name of the largest body of Protestant Christians in China. It includes one third of their total membership. It embraces Baptists, Congregationalists, Presbyterians, Methodists, United Brethren, United Church of Canada, and some independent Chinese churches. It was consummated in 1927, and has passed the experimental stage and grown in power and evangelistic activity. To all intents and purposes it is one living Church, with its own Moderator and Secretaries, its own hymn book and magazines, its central organisation, and its annual assemblies, to which each component part sends its elected representatives"
