Abstract
The paper is a book review which is exploring the modern religious discourses within Indonesian Muslims society. The author divides Indonesian Muslims into two different streams represented by two prominent Islamic organizations : Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama with their different point of view in interpreting the scripture and then in developing their movements in Indonesia
