Abstract
"The paper explores the phenomeon after the arrival of internet age in Indonesia and attempts to discover the nature to discover the nature of conversations on Islamic state in the mailing list, especially within ""Apa Kabar"" mailinglist. This issue was a taboo in the old public sphere. In relation to the above, the standard of the netiquette while conducting the conversation was also explored. Furthermore, the question of whether the ‘new’ public sphere had conceivably performed the civility functions or not had also identified."
