Abstract
The freedom of information in a globalization is like a current that is unstoppable. A good and bad information can be obtained easily. Moreover in the presence of various types of gadgets make people dependent on their gadgets. The various world's information can be accesed easily via gadgets and other computerized devices. No wonder if any information obtained internalized among the young generation and evident in a style and culture. The freedom of information that included in a country means it has been entered in the system and governance of cultural values and educational values of the nation. Here the role of education is very necessary to deal with freedom of information. Where is the job of education provided supplies for learners to conduct information filtering that should be consumed. The freedom of information is also cause to fade of local culture of this nation because of frequent youth gain knowledge of foreign cultures that consciously or not has become a daily consumption. Application of acculturation on each of the learning process in education is important and equally important is the cultivation of a powerful character to the learners. Students are expected to be able to face all kinds of problems in life with a powerful character education, especially that posed by the information indefinitely.
