Abstract
"Não há como negar no tempo atual a nova vitalidade da religião e a presença crescente da diversidade religiosa. A realidade do pluralismo religioso pode possibilitar tanto uma nova conversação dialogal, como também um acirramento das “heranças confessionais”. O pluralismo religioso tende a acentuar dissonâncias cognitivas que impulsionam dinâmicas fundamentalistas ou integristas em vários segmentos religiosos. Mas permanece o desafio essencial da aposta dialogal, contra teses que afirmam a presença ameaçadora de um “choque de civilizações”" ["There is no way to deny the new vitality of religion and the growing presence of religious diversity nowadays. The reality of religous pluralism can lead to either a new dialogical conversation, or an incitement of “confessional heritages”. Religious pluralism tends to accentuate cognitive dissonances that stimulate fundamentalist or integrist dynamics in many religious segments. But the essential challenge of the dialogic wager remains, against propositions that affirm the threatening presence of a “shock of civilizations”"]
