Abstract
"Hablar del humanismo en la juventud de Ernesto Guevara de la Serna supone un doble desafío. El primero es de carácter general: la palabra humanismo pudiera parecer inconmensurable para ligarla a una etapa de la vida que suele asociarse a la inconstancia, la irreverencia y la rebeldía sin causa trascendente. El segundo es específico: se trata de un joven que, con el tiempo, será definido como “el hombre más completo de su tiempo”.1 Ello resulta circunstancia difícil de obviar, y una tentación que no debe pasar inadvertida, para evitar lecturas apresuradas o apologéticas de los hechos. Lo cierto es que en el tiempo juvenil de Ernesto se encuentran signos que, en el proceso de su formación teórica y práctica de ese período, apuntan al humanismo central de su pensamiento y acción revolucionaria posteriores. La indagación de tales antecedentes es ejercicio que permite una mejor comprensión del camino ascendente que seguirá el joven viajero lleno de aspiraciones y ensueños, hasta el revolucionario auténtico, actor y pensador del proyecto socialista de liberación humana" ["Speaking of humanism in the young Ernesto Guevara de la Serna is a double challenge. The first is general: the word humanism may seem unfathomable to link it to a stage of life that is often associated with unsteadiness, irreverence and rebellion without a transcendent cause. The second is specific: it is a young man who, over time, will be defined as "the most complete man of his time" .1 This is hard fact to ignore, and a temptation that should not go unnoticed, to avoid reading hasty or apologetic of facts. The truth is that in youth time Ernesto are signs that in the process of education and training that period, the central point of his thought and humanism revolutionary action later. The investigation of such a background is exercise that allows a better understanding of the ascending path that follows the young traveler full of aspirations and dreams, to the authentic revolutionary, actor and thinker of the socialist project of human liberation"]
