Abstract
"A Revista Brasileira de Bioética percorreu seus dois primeiros anos de vida graças às gestões feitas pela sua direção junto ao do Ministério da Saúde (MS). Sem o apoio fi nanceiro do governo brasileiro, pelas naturais restrições econômicas de uma entidade científi ca como a Sociedade Brasileira de Bioética, teria sido impossível o início da nossa caminhada editorial e acadêmica. Nunca é demais registrar que, por razões de confl ito de interesse, entidades e revistas científi cas que tratam de ética, devem ter o cuidado de manter distância com relação a patrocínios privados, por mais idôneas que sejam as instituições interessadas nesse apoio" ["The Journal of Bioethics ran its first two years of life thanks to the efforts made by his direction with the Ministry of Health (MOH). Without the fi nancial support of the Brazilian government, the natural economic constraints of a scientifi c entity such as the Brazilian Society of Bioethics, would have been impossible the beginning of our editorial and academic walk. It never hurts to note that, by confl ict of reasons of interest, organizations and magazines scientifi cas dealing with ethics, should be careful to keep their distance with respect to private sponsorship, which are most suitable for institutions interested in this support"]
