Abstract
This research aims to describe one of rituals that is still maintained in Biak ethnic group. This ritual is called “Apen Beyeren” which is walking over the coals. In this ritual, some actors and the others are invited to cook food at over hot rocks while barefoot walking. The ultimate object of this Apen Beyeren is familial relationship to be good up in a certain point of culmination. This research used qualitative paradigm method in a form of descriptive analysis. The technique of collecting data included observation, direct interview, library study and documentation.
