Abstract
"Esta intervención tiene como asunto la relación entre la idea y la práctica de la participación. Me referiré a la cultura de la participación como clave del ejercicio socialista del poder. Para abordarla, tocaré cuatro dimensiones: 1) las condiciones de la participación; 2) la cultura en la que ha de desarrollarse; 3) las consecuencias que produce; y 4) el sentido de la participación, o sea, participación con respecto a cuál horizonte. Las condiciones de la participación Como todos sabemos, el 17 de noviembre del 2005 el Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro pronunció un discurso que planteó la posibilidad de la reversión del socialismo en Cuba. Sin embargo, por la magnitud de ese cuestionamiento, pensamos que todavía debe producir repercusiones más profundas que las alcanzadas hasta hoy, en el sentido de una discusión colectiva, amplia, propositiva, que se pronuncie no sólo sobre el diagnóstico de los problemas, sino también por cuál sería el margen socialista de sus soluciones, si entendemos por socialismo la ampliación permanente de los contenidos ciudadanos de libertad, justicia y dignidad humanas" ["This intervention has the relationship between the idea and practice of participation as a subject.
