Abstract
"The historical origins of theological education by extension are familiar. Based on in-depth evaluation of the effectiveness of their past endeavors in a residential seminary, Ralph Winter, James Emery and Ross Kinsler of the Evangelical Presbyterian Seminary in Guatemala in 1963 inaugurated a new mode of theological education, widely known today as theological education by extension--or TEE. "
