Abstract
"O presente ensaio discorre sobre aspectos gerais acerca da concepção luterana sobre o pecado. O ser humano foi criado à imagem e à semelhança de Deus e é totalmente dependente de seu criador. Ao tentar lutar por sua independência, ele cai em pecado e fica sujeito ao poder do diabo. O ser humano é “pecador perante Deus e precisa ser salvo por graça”. É pelo amor de Deus ao ser humano caído em pecado que Deus enviou seu próprio Filho, Jesus Cristo, ao mundo, o qual viveu, morreu na cruz e ressuscitou para restabelecer a comunhão entre os seres humanos e Deus. Assim, Lutero define o ser humano justificado pela fé: Deus vem ao encontro do ser humano, o qual é justificado através da fé em Cristo. Por fim, o texto apresenta algumas expressões utilizadas para caracterizar o pecado" ["This essay elaborates on general aspects about the Lutheran conception of sin.
