Biography
After her doctoral degree in Development Studies at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Stefania Gandolfi started dealing with pedagogy, education and human rights both through teaching at the University of Turin and the University of Bergamo, where she held the position of holder of the UNESCO Chair of Human Rights and Ethics of International Cooperation, both through the training of international volunteers and civil society cadres on human rights issues and of international cooperation. Dr. Gandolfi then worked in various countries of Africa, Latin America and Asia for the evaluation of international cooperation projects and institutional support for universities. She has therefore collaborated for missions and talks with various realities in the world of education, training and cooperation at national and international level including UNESCO, the Council of Europe and, more recently, the Observatory of Diversity and Cultural Rights of Fribourg. and the Gravissimum Educationis Foundation of the Congregation for Catholic Education of the Holy See. Alongside the field work, Stefania Gandolfi has carried out research activities with various publications on the topics of education in Africa, the right to education and human rights education, intercultural approaches to education, the relationship between migration and education. and the interdependence between human rights and democratic governance. She currently holds the office of President of the Vittorino Chizzolini Foundation, Human Rights and Ethics of International Cooperation.
